Why This Works

This course is designed by a Clinical Psychologist and rooted in evidence-based nervous system science. It is crafted to help you understand your own body and mind — why stress builds, how burnout shows up, and what you can do to regulate before it takes over.

You’ll learn practical tools like the Polyvagal Ladder and the ACE Method (Acknowledge, Connect, Engage) to notice your stress signals, calm your nervous system, and reset in the moment.

✨ Because when you steady yourself first, you’re better able to show up for your child with calm, clarity, and connection.

Roxanne Wells-Peris
Clinical Psychologist & Director, Happy Brain Psychology

Roxanne has spent the past eight years walking alongside parents, helping families move from stress and overwhelm to calm, confidence, and connection. She knows parenting can feel like riding out a storm — but she also believes in your ability to find steadiness, even in the messiest moments.

As CEO and Director of Happy Brain Psychology, Roxanne has built a trauma-informed, neuroaffirming practice that supports children, teens, and families. Her approach blends science with compassion, turning brain-based strategies into simple, practical tools parents can actually use at home.

But beyond her clinical role, Roxanne is a person who deeply values balance. She loves tending to her rose garden, curling up with her pets, and making space for laughter with her own family. She knows that self-care isn’t about perfection — it’s about finding small, meaningful ways to recharge so you can show up with love.
